Keep anything you or your family will use on the day of your move with you. Everyday items include snacks, toilet paper, paper towels, phone chargers, a change of clothes, toothbrush/toothpaste, and your kids’ favorite toys. Additionally, medications, necessary paperwork (e.g., birth certificates and social security cards), and anything highly valuable or sentimental (jewellery, credit cards, bank account information, etc.) should be set aside. Then, on your moving day, place these essential items in a box or bag that you’ll carry with you to your new home.
The moving crew will wrap these items in moving blankets to protect them on the truck. However, it would be best if you made sure that your dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine were empty. No, a moving truck is included in the flat hourly rate. Therefore, there is not an additional fee for one of our 26 ft moving trucks.
On Interstate moves, yes, we absolutely can and always do! On moves between points, local moves are charged primarily on an hourly basis, and moves going over 40 miles are billed primarily according to weight. Tipping is never expected but always appreciated! Although our movers are trained to never ask for tips from customers, they are allowed to accept tips should customers feel inclined for the hard work they received. Regarding what amount to tip the movers, we encourage customers to tip whatever they think is necessary.
